Currently there are three programs available:
- In person group classes: weekly one-hour sessions
- Online group classes: weekly one-hour sessions
- Individual lessons: by appointment
Ongoing programs are almost always on, we also register for future programs which start as soon as a certain number of participants is reached.
Foundational FM
The series focuses on improving function of large muscle groups, especially organization of movements between rib cage and pelvis. When their movement relative to one another is not optimal, other muscles have to compensate leading to a whole array of pains and issues in other parts of the body: neck, shoulders, hips, lower back, even lower jaw.
The series will work methodically on better “connecting” shoulders, trunk and hips. This will result in better posture and breathing eliminating unnecessary strain on neck, shoulders, etc.
It is a good opportunity for beginners to join.
Format:
- Weekly one-hour Awareness Through Movement classes®. Wednesdays 7:30pm-8:30pm.
Easy FM
The movements in this class can be performed even with significantly impacted mobility. Some classes are taught with student sitting in a chair, some classes are teaching basic movement skills such as standing, sitting up from lying, improving hip joints. The program fully preserves the essence of Feldenkrais method, no compromises there.
Please note that the venue building is very old and unfortunately not accessible, you should be able to walk up the outside stairs (six steps with railing) for the venue. The washroom is in the basement, five steps down with railing:
